Vintage Finds

Unique. Colourful. Full of character.

I’ve had a lifelong love of fabric, but there is something particularly special about the textiles of the 1960s and 1970s. Bold florals, oversized prints, fabulous colour combinations and designs that weren’t afraid to make a statement – in my view, the 60s and 70s got some of the very best fabrics.

My Vintage Finds collection is all about giving these beautiful textiles another life. I’m constantly looking for interesting and unusual fabrics, searching online, through specialist vintage dealers, at markets, charity shops and wherever else a forgotten piece of wonderful fabric might turn up.

Sometimes I find several metres; sometimes it’s little more than a scrap. Either can be exciting. A small remnant might be just enough for a glasses case or a set of coasters, while a larger piece can become a striking lampshade, cushion or another one-off piece for the home. I hate seeing a great fabric go to waste, so even the smallest pieces can find a purpose.

Because these fabrics are vintage and often found in very limited quantities, many of the finished pieces are completely unique or available only in tiny numbers. Once a particular fabric has gone, I may never find it again.

That’s part of the pleasure of Vintage Finds: you never quite know what will appear next.

If you love bold pattern, nostalgic colour and homeware that you won’t find everywhere else, browse the collection and discover a one-off piece of textile history, reimagined for your home.
